Will it invent citations?
References are pulled from Crossref and DataCite metadata and formatted by a fixed rule, so the marker and its bibliography entry come from a real record, never written by the model. Run Source quality before you submit to flag retracted and preprint sources.
Does it check that a source supports my claim?
Claim check counts how many of your sentence's terms appear in the cited passage, and flags wording that disagrees with it, such as "did not", "failed to", or a reversed direction. It quotes the passage back to you so you can judge it yourself. Terms matching means the words line up, not that the source supports the claim.
Is my unpublished work private?
Your text is sent to Rivul's AI model only to produce the output you asked for. We never train models on your drafts or library, and we never sell your content. Export or delete everything whenever you want.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
Sign up and start writing, searching citations, and grounding in your own PDFs with zero setup. No key to configure, no card to enter.
Where do the sources come from?
Upload PDFs or pull them by DOI, arXiv, Unpaywall, a .bib file, or Zotero. Autocomplete and answers are grounded in those documents; scoped chat can also search the open web.
Can I actually submit what it produces?
Export to IEEEtran LaTeX with a .bib, or the official IEEE Word templates. Preflight estimates page count and leftover "Your Name" placeholders; camera-ready packs a submission ZIP.
Will I be locked in?
Your paper exports as LaTeX, Word, or Markdown at any time, and your bibliography is never paywalled. If you leave, the .tex and .bib leave with you.
