LibraryThe library is the set of documents used for grounded autocomplete and claim verification. Titles are not treated as evidence.

Writing

WritingThe editor can propose continuations from passages in your library. The model does not write bibliography records.

Research

Research chatResearch chat answers a question against a chosen scope. Insert as draft places the answer and its source list into the open manuscript.Find papersFind papers searches arXiv, Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, and Crossref. You can judge a result, save it, or cite it without leaving the page.

Analyze

AnalyzeAnalyze tools compare wording in the draft to library passages. They do not certify that a claim is true.Claim checkingRivul counts how many of your sentence's terms appear in a cited passage, and flags wording that disagrees with it. This compares words, not meaning, so it cannot confirm that a paper supports your claim.ReviewReview lenses flag mechanical and bibliographic issues. Citations

CitationsA citation is a document node bound to a bibliographic record. Displayed numbers follow first-citation order in the manuscript.

Export

ExportExport writes files from the current manuscript and bibliography. Preflight checks length, structure, and cited DOIs against Crossref when they are present. A Crossref miss is reported as not checked, not a pass.

AccountYou sign in with email and password. If the login page shows Continue with Google, you may use that instead.Privacy and AI useThis page states what text leaves your account when you use AI. The Privacy policy and AI-use disclosure govern if they differ.

Common questions

Does the model invent references?

No. Bibliography lines are formatted from Crossref, DataCite, or arXiv metadata. The model does not author those records.

Where is unpublished text sent?

Only to produce the output of the action you invoked. Rivul does not train on drafts or library files.

Is a payment method required?

Free Beta does not require a card. Registration may be closed. If you cannot register, sign in or email support@rivul.ai.

What text is used to ground a claim?

Extracted passages (or a sufficiently long abstract, more than 80 characters). A title alone is not evidence.

Does export imply the paper is ready to submit?

No. You review claims, citations, and venue rules. Preflight and Source quality are checks, not certification. Preflight reports retraction status for cited DOIs, or says they were not checked if Crossref fails.

Can the bibliography be downloaded without a paid plan?

Yes. .tex, .bib, and Word remain available to the account holder.

Are suggestions inserted automatically?

No. They appear as tracked changes or ghost text. Accept, press Tab, or reject each one.
