Export and Delete Your Data

Download your account

1. Step 1: Open Settings → Account.
2. Step 2: Click Download export. Rivul AI builds a ZIP file and your browser downloads it.

You can build 3 exports an hour.

What the export contains

Your papers as JSON and Markdown, their references, library metadata and extracted text, annotations, saved searches, your skills, and the newest 1,000 rows of the activity log. A manifest lists every file.

Original PDFs are listed in the catalog but not copied into the ZIP. Extracted text is capped at 4 MB per document; if the archive would grow too large, the files left out are named in the manifest rather than dropped silently.

Export a single paper

To take one draft elsewhere, open it in Papers and click Export: Word, LaTeX, Markdown, plain text, or BibTeX for its references.

Delete a workspace

1. Step 1: Open Settings → Danger zone, or choose Manage workspaces… in the workspace menu at the top left.
2. Step 2: Choose the workspace and confirm. The workspace and its papers are deleted permanently.

Delete your account

1. Step 1: Open Settings → Danger zone and choose to delete the account.
2. Step 2: Sign in with Google again if you have not in the last 10 minutes, then type your account email to confirm.
3. Step 3: The account and all of its data are deleted permanently, including your stored AI key and your Rivul MCP keys.

Your Google account and your AI provider account are separate and are not changed. To stop your provider billing, manage the key in that provider's console.
