Writing
The editor can propose continuations from passages in your library. The model does not write bibliography records.
Grounded autocomplete
Pause in the editor. If library documents have extracted text, a suggestion may include a citation to a matching passage.
If the library has no usable text, the model may still draft. Those completions are not citations.
Tab and Esc
Press Tab to accept the ghost suggestion. Press Esc to dismiss it. The footer restates this: pause to autocomplete, Tab accept, Esc dismiss.
Tracked changes
Rewrite, polish, and many review suggestions appear as highlighted tracked changes. Click the highlight, then Accept or Reject. The manuscript is not overwritten in place.
Rewrite, expand, and polish
1. Select text, or place the cursor in a paragraph.
2. Select the passage. A rewrite bubble appears at the cursor with Concise, Academic, Simpler, Formal, Expand, and Trim 30%.
3. Click Draft, then Polish grammar & clarity, to polish a longer stretch.
Polish that would rewrite around citations asks you to select a section and use Rewrite instead. Papers over the polish character cap must be polished per section.
Abstract and titles
Click Draft. Click Generate abstract, or Suggest titles….
Generate abstract requires existing draft text. Suggested titles apply only when you choose one.
Conference abstract word limits
Click Draft. Click Conference abstract (150w) or Conference abstract (250w). The draft is generated against that word cap. You still edit the result before you submit it to a venue.
Equations
Click Σ (Insert equation) to insert a math block. Edit the LaTeX source. The editor shows a KaTeX preview. Exporters write the same source into LaTeX, Word, Markdown, or plain text as the format allows.
Footnotes
Click † (Insert footnote). Enter the note text on the footnote node. Export includes footnotes in the chosen format.
Figures
A figure is an image block with a source URL and an optional caption. Click the figure to edit those fields. The camera-ready ZIP includes figure files when they can be resolved. There is no separate Insert figure button on the editor toolbar.
Per-section word counts
The editor footer lists soft Abstract progress against ≈250 words (IEEE) and a Body total from the other sections. Those figures are optional progress only — dismiss them anytime; they never block writing. After dismiss, the footer falls back to words under each heading (References omitted).
Paper brief
1. Click Brief.
2. Write one paragraph that should steer autocomplete.
3. Click Save brief.
The brief is injected into ghost-completion context. It does not change the manuscript until you accept a suggestion.
Other write actions
Draft also offers Draft Related Work, Summarize paper, Generate outline, and Translate…. Draft Related Work uses library papers and arrives as a tracked change. Each result is a suggestion until you accept it.
